We asked co-founders Mindy Lancaster and Jerri Anne Blankenship to tell about Redefined below.
Hey friends! We are Mindy Lancaster and Jerri Anne Blankenship and we are 2 sisters on a mission! A mission to go behind the walls to bring the hope of Jesus to those who are so often forgotten, cast out by society and left hopeless and broken.
Little did we realize, The Lord began cultivating this ministry almost 34 years ago when our mom was murdered and our dad sentenced to life behind the walls of Angola. Over the course of the years we spent going and visiting our father, we saw other families-mothers,sisters,fathers,brothers, sons and daughters fade away. No longer showing up- leaving them broken, hopeless, unseen and feeling forgotten.
Then the Lord led us to LTCW to share our story and we noticed a shift in the way the women received our story. They viewed us through the lens of a mother and saw in the position of where their children sat. Hope began to be breathed back into their once calloused hearts.
Over the course of 8 years, we have witnessed chains break, freedom found, restoring families and renewed lives. This is REDEFINED! Changing lives changes legacies!
The Lord guided us down this path to becoming the founders of  ReDefined a 501(c)3 non-profit!
Having Lissy create this is so special on many levels that would take wayyyy too long to share but she has been a part of our story since the beginning so it truly is spirit led that she is the one to design our first shirt!
Since founding this non-profit we have gone behinds the walls to prisons all over the state, baptized and mentored over 400 of the incarcerated and provided our biggest project, Bags of Blessings, in which we provided over 700 women with full size hygiene products. We have been with the least of these on the cell blocks, praying over them and for them at David Wade.
We are postured with grateful hearts to those who have supported our ministry over the past few years and that will continue to support us.
